Overview
Cuplock is a modular system where standards and ledgers lock together at fixed node points. It suits arrangements that repeat over a large area or height and need consistent, quick assembly.
What the Cuplock system is
Cuplock is a modular steel system: fixed lower cups are welded to the vertical standards at set intervals and a sliding top cup locks up to four ledger or brace ends into one node with a hammer blow. Nothing is threaded or bolted at the joint, so bays go up and come down quickly and repeatably.
Because the node positions are fixed, the geometry is consistent from bay to bay, which makes large elevations, birdcage decks and support towers easier to plan, count and check.
When to choose Cuplock
Cuplock is a good fit for repeated bays and large areas: long facades, mall and lobby interiors, double-height spaces, birdcage scaffolds over a floor plate, and support or shoring towers under slabs and beams.
It is also used around equipment and piping in industrial work, where speed of assembly inside a short work window and a predictable component count both matter.
Safety and quality notes
The system only performs as intended when top cups are fully driven home, bracing follows the arrangement and base jacks sit on sound bearing. A partly seated cup can look closed and carry far less than it should.
Loads, heights, tie patterns and platform levels are set for the intended use, and the erected structure is inspected before use and after any alteration. Cuplock components should not be substituted with parts from other systems.
